Resurfacing – Livingstone Hospital

The Harlequin Group were recently comissioned to extend the car park facilities at the Livingstone Hospital in East Hill, Dartford. The hospital had a small existing carpark, but had aquired some adjacent land and with planning permission granted we were able to extend the carpark to almost double it’s original size. Whilst also increasing the size of the car park we were also able to better utilise the existing space to create even more parking bays and an improved access road.

We started by digging out the area of waste land that was due to be repurposed as car park and lay the foundations for the new hard standing area. We then removed any damaged sections of the original car park surfacing. As well as the obvious construction works involved in extending a car park we had to ensure we did not cause any damage to existing drainage works around the site, and feed the drainage system for the new car park area into the existing.

We then laid the new carpark surface, ensuring a quality, even lay of the tarmac across the whole area. Our experienced team were able to complete the job on time and to budget, safe in the knowledge that the works carried out were finished to our usual high standards.
